Oak Grove is a small community in northeast Decatur that is close to Briarcliff and Clairmont road intersection, south of Interstate 85 and just inside Interstate 285 which allow residents a quick route to everywhere including Midtown, and Downtown Atlanta. Although Oak Grove is in Decatur, it is in close proximity to all that Druid Hills, Buckhead, and Brookhaven have to offer. This makes Oak Grove one of Atlanta’s coveted in-town suburbs. A location with easy access to everything including Emory and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, top award-winning schools, great amenities, and attractions are just a few of the things attract new residents to the area each year. 
 
With many homes that were built in the 1990’s, with many now renovated this area is full of a variety of residents, from established to new families that have decided to call Atlanta home. Over the last decade, the Oak Grove neighborhood has become one of DeKalb County’s most attractive communities for families with young children. Oak Grove has become desirable to many new residents because of its suburban feel, many wonderful neighborhoods within neighborhoods such as Echo Lake, unique and diverse homes on large wooded lots, and a real sense of community.
 
Oak Grove is a viable option for those that want to live near a big city but at the same time it has its own small-town feel, with locally owned restaurants, businesses, and many local markets. No matter what you need while in Oak Grove, you can find it within a reasonable distance, and you won’t have to fight the busy city crowds.
